Sure lots of benefits but the converted cars would be significantly heavier than stock so at the very minimum they should have their brakes upgraded.
Probably springs and shocks as well. (I hope the batteries are mounted low down into the chassis)
Then imagine, god forbid you had an accident in one of these...
