My family was living on Guam at the time. We took a long weekend to fly up to Saipan to tour the old battle sights. I had to miss a day of school due to the limited flight schedule on Trust Territory Airlines and my home room teacher gave me an unexcused absents. All my other teachers blew it off as they figured it was educational. I checked the area on
Google Earth and it does not appear to be anything there anymore. We could see it from the overlook at Suicide Cliff down in the trees below at the time. Did not wright down any numbers or anything.
