The 924S looked OK, and I've always thought the 944 was a really nice looking car, but I always thought the first version of the 924 was kind of a homely car. Really narrow track so the wheels sit way inside the body, ugly wheels, too "slab" sided.
Although I wouldn't call it one of the ugliest cars. Just kind of homely and plain, particularly for a Porsche.
And, today, most 924 are pretty ugly! Most that I see are total beaters, some that have been "fixed up" by well meaning but misguided owners who bought them for $900, and are in ugly shape.
This isn't too far off of par for the 924 course these days:
The 914? Well, I'm a huge fan of the 914, have had a few of them, and will probably have one again in the future. I like the way it looks, although I can understand how many (most?) would say it is kind of an ugly car.[
