Coolest was one that carried a glider up that looked kinda like the space shuttle (before they had a space shuttle).
You had to run a delayed chute engine so it could arc over launching the glider before popping the chute.
The only problem is you had to track both the rocket and the glider down.
Had a pirated AppleII program that was a really cool robot chem lab. You could mix and heat anything. If you mixed stuff that would explode, it would. Great fun playing will it fizzle, foam, catch fire, or explode.

When I was in jr high my sister got a model rocket for me. Long slippery slope she started me on. Started scratch building my own designs and did the shuttle thing, but mine was like a hang glider and the wings were folded in until it released and the rubber bands would pull them taut bringing the cargo home safely. That rocket was 6'10" tall. Called it the Leonov. Had a short 2 stage that pushed the streamer out the back instead of a nose cone so there were no seams. All blended body joints on it. Would reach 3500'. I had built 24 and now the kids have started.
Glen, you will receive the funds back on Tuesday. Not sure which year.
Kerbal is cheaper!
