Hi H,
I am very sorry to hear about your dad[emoji22], that is a very tough thing to have to deal with. That truly terrifies me with my aging parents. M & D with our Grandaughter, their GG-daughter.

My pleasure on the pics, I have many more taken from the rear seat and low level through the mountains. It’s what I get for knowing a retired F-4/F-111/F-16/F-15 driving Full Bird. That is awesome that your dad’s VE is on static display at the CC. By chance, do you have any pics of the VE you could share. I would love to see it.
I’ve been trolling the classified adds looking for either a VE or LE but they have been thin in the published periodicals. My friend bought his from a retired General he knew and worked with that built it. My friends has convinced me of just how enjoyable that are to fly and the speeds obtained and a low GPH burn rate. The downside is the limited cargo area for a travel bag. Guess it’s hard to check all the boxes when your a state employee and what you can afford. lol
I’ve made some progress on the gear legs and was able to wet sand them before work today. I will admit, I just couldn’t help myself and had to do a quick “test spritz”[emoji6]
I took some glory days shots with a couple of his old helmets and sent them to him while he is on his trip.

Test spray to see how it laid down on the surface. Water sheen after wet dry 220.
