Thanks oneblueyedog. I got the guide tube out.....stripped one of the screws even though using a #3 phillips driver......managed to get out after loosening with a couple taps of the hammer on screwdriver end....will have to get new screw. The top side of the guide tube shows a minimal amount of wear (3/1000's of an inch) but bottom side shows none. Can I just flip it over when reinstalling it? Just need to order the new screw and input shaft seal (I have the O-ring) and presto it'll be done.
