He's my wife's baby (and mine as well, especially since our other pup passed 2 weeks ago). He's had $3500 surgery on his back when he was much younger. (dachshunds are known for back/bone issues)
He's had plenty of money spent on his teeth before too. I've been brushing his teeth since the last tooth issue that he had (trying to prevent future issues)
Now we're trying "Oravet" on the few teeth that he has left, and I'll be monitoring his teeth like a hawk. We may go to more frequent cleanings too.
And their mouths are super important to their health. If they get infections, they can lead to other health issues.
