Rein, (decent German brand), sells just the boots for the rear axle. Price from my place is around $8.00 each. Part # is 996 3322 93 00.

There is no way I’d replace perfectly good rear Porsche axles for $1K each if one has a small tear in boot. That’s bananas. With old Mercedes, it gets a little less clear cut because replacement axles are around $100 each. Of course, they are made in someone’s bathtub in Tijuana but still, $100 each.
