Exactly. You cannot buy that aftermarket fuel line filter anymore. Like IMS failures in earlier water pumper Porsches, it’s hard to find out the exact frequency of it but it’s definitely a real thing that has happened to many owners. And when it does, you probably have an expensive paper weight at this point.
The new warranty from VW covers it, as well as any other fuel or emissions related failures which is most everything on these cars.
