Despite what I fervently believed, mine turned out to be the battery box. PO have "fixed" it with a license plate and fiberglass. The leak went along the inside pass rail straight to the back seat pass foot.
Finally pulled all the old repair out and POR-15'd it. Mysterious leak solved. I will post the pics soon of that job.
