All the boxes suck compared to that sequential thing you are building (***forum butt pinch***). When that is complete, I want to borrow it for a couple weeks so I can reverse engineer the internals and shift mechanism and then make one for my Mighty Meatlocker Turbo, ya' bisch!
Funny about butt dynos - some people say that the original 3LDZ turbocharger "feels faster", since it does essentially nothing until about 4K RPM and then hits like a sledgehammer (then runs out of blow at about 6K RPM). With an aftermarket, non-laggy unit, some of the sledgehammer effect is lost, but in reality you are scooting down the road at a much quicker pace when boost onset is linear and begins at about 2.5K RPM (still with a massive rush, however - it's not like a big power NA car even with almost no lag). One of the proofs of this is that with an aftermarket unit like I described, you have to add fuel during boost (lower the full throttle enrichment control pressure) or the mixture goes lean since so much more air is blowing.
