It's not just Arizona. It is everywhere. I just traded in my 12 year old Silverado, 100k miles and 2wd with some rust on the bed sides, and they gave me $7500 for it. I only paid $22k for it new! I really didn't expect that much, but that means they will sell it for much more.

You can easily spend $50k, on a new 1/2 ton truck. A fully-optioned diesel 1 ton can almost double that. Even Mercedes-Benz is building a pickup truck.

I'm staying away from trucks for awhile until things calm down. I just bought a 1 ton van. It's really hard to get one over $40k new, and they lose half their value in the first year, so I bought a year-old one.
