At that time in the morning, quite a few of the people on the road are under the influence.
And a big percentage of the wrecks at that time of the morning involve those drivers who are under the influence.
A celebrity would have quite a bit to looose if it got out that he was driving under the influence and caused a wreck that involved injuries. Pretty sure that's a felony. Possibly a career-ending felony.
But I also suspect that it might be a felony to leave the scene of an accident that involves injuries to avoid prosecution, or to provide false details to avoid criminal actions.
Maybe it happened the way it was explained, dunno. I wasn't there.
But he certainly would have plenty of motivation to fake it and lie.
I'd be interested to see what happens to the bank account of the guy who said he was driving.
Just to see how much it costs to take the rap for a celeb.
If that actually happened I mean.
