Lesson learned? You WANT to be listed as the point of landfall 4-5 days out, that guarantees it will miss you.
First it was hitting Cape Canaveral which was 100 miles north of me, then Vero Beach 30 miles North, the Jupiter 30 miles South. So frustrating.

Hurricanes are weather systems and weather systems vary. A week out forecasters only have wild guesses where it is headed. Three days out the forecasters begin to have some precision. Eight hours out they have a much higher chance of predicting the path. Nature of the beast.
