I saw a really nice Tesla converted Fiat 124 Spider, but the conversion cost 70K.
It will be interesting to follow this part of the hobby as time goes by.
Maybe someday I will build a pod racer once the parts become available. Right now I'm building an old school rat rod, and this will probably be the last old car I buy. It is kind of wild to think that the cars from our youth are as old today as WW1 era cars were when we were kids. I'm starting to look at some of these cars as antiques and artifacts, almost the way I look at one lunger make or break engines. It's like having an old buggy in the yard.
I look at the new stuff as being an extension of the resto rod movement, or whatever it is they call that part of the hobby where people are modernizing old chassis. There is a growing place for it, for sure.
