Point well made and agreed with. A year or so ago, long time old PCA buddy Marty (we shared a condo during the '71 Parade) were eating in a BBQ joint in Salem, Oregon. This place is near the Cue Ball and Willamette University, so we go there after Cindy & I get through playing pool. Always nice to visit old friends.

Willamette is a fairly prestigious private law school.

Car discussion lead Marty & I to the movie and Steve McQueen...there was a young couple there, Willamette students, late teens or early 20's...so I asked. Have you seen a movie titled Bullitt? Both answered no. Do you know an actor named Steve McQueen? Both answered no.

Hardly a broad based poll...but the results were interesting to Marty & I.

However, look at who is bidding in these auctions...certainly not young law students. Nope..for the most part baby boomers who have made bucks. Some have figured out that the more stuff you have, the more you have to take care of. But not all, not by a long shot.

(edit) Although the market prices of old muscle and early Porsches do seem to be in a bit of decline. Also, based on the grumblings of those into collecting pool cues on a pool site I visit, maybe all collectables are seeing a dip?
