So my 01 diesel 4x4 dually is leaking power steering fluid like the Exxon Valdez ! So I pulled the front left wheel and found two lines that rubbed a hole into each other . But I inspected the brake pads/rotor and I am getting close to replacement time . The truck has always stopped ok but not great .

She weighs 7300 pounds on her own and I am eventually going to carry a truck camper weighing 2600 pounds AND the possibility of pulling a boat ( small ) or a car trailer with Porsche on board . So any recommendations on brake rotors and/or brake pads ? Would you go ceramic or semi metallic on the pads ? Any particular brand that are known to perform better ?

I am going to plan on replacing all four rotors and pads but will start on the front . eBay sure has a lot of reasonably priced brake packages but I don't know what is good or bad . So for you guys that are carrying and towing heavy loads what brakes you using ?
