Check out the reviews on-line...lots of dissatisfied customers with that product. Seems like their biggest advantage is the cost, which is significantly less than
Invisalign.
As I understand it, after the initial office visit,
Smiledirectclub sends you all the aligners at once and it's up to you to change them out when required. There are no additional office visits to check up on your progress, or to tweak the aligners.
With Invisalign, you still have to change the aligners on schedule, but you visit the orthodontist about every 6 weeks to see how things are coming along and if there are any adjustments needed to your program. This is what probably accounts for the additional cost.
I'm starting the
Invisalign program later this month and will report back. I have lower crowding that will be corrected and the orthodontist claims that treatment will take 6 months...providing I wear the aligners at least 21 hours a day. After that, I'll need to wear a retainer (similar to the aligners) full time for another 6 months, then only at night from then on.
