Plastic replacement mechanism from GM was $350 or $450 I think. Even way back then.
I glued it together and it worked but I don't know for how long. He didn't say. I would have fixed it again.
I also pulled out the front grill mounts and replaced the top portion of the frame.
The metal was about as thick as aluminum foil.
