So I bought a car from someone I trusted at night and didn't bring a paint meter. He didnt know it was repaired so badly.
The rear quarter was repaired by a bondo artisan. The PO waited 5 years for this repair. I promptly emailed pics of what he waited 5 years for. His wife actually made him sell because the resto was taking so long.
I couldn't believe this as my flap disc kept digging deeper. I was just stripping off paint. It was a solid 1/2" of filler over the entire area.
The story: The car was parked waiting for inspection at the local station and someone backed into it. No prior accident damage, no frame damage whatsoever. The engine support longitudinal is perfect.
