I bought my first bachelor pad house in 1981. Back in the days when the worst VD was cured with a shot to the butt. I never did need to get a shot in the butt, from luck and picking the right girlfriends. I sowed a lot of wild oats and prayed for crop failure, but sticking with the oats metaphor, I used pre-emergent.
Even back then a single guy, with a steady job and a house with a nice yard, flowers in the gardens and furniture and washer dryer had an easy time with ladies. After AIDS was in the general population, there seemed to be a real chill. Back then AIDS was a death sentence.
I am SOOOO happy to be happily married for 27 years and totally out of the dating game.
One of my buddies is 51, in reasonable shape. He loves to go out Cougar hunting, and work the catch and release plan. so all in all, nothing has really changed.
