The solid axle is probably an asset on the banked ovals. I can't be sure, just an intuition. But independent rear wheel adjustments might work better. What I do know is that NASCAR on road tracks with a car similar to the above would be a hoot.

If you want a taste of what that could be like, just take a look at Australian Supercar, British Touring Car, German DTM, and those kinds of series. Absolutely fantastic racing in each and every one of them. NASCAR's big ovals are something those other series cannot offer - what a cool mix that would be, to have DTM style road racing plus traditional American oval racing. If that could somehow become the future of NASCAR, I think a lot more of us would return to watching.
