Sorry to hear that. We have all ages at our PCA events and even allow 928's LOL just kidding i own one myself.
I have to agree a lot of the bling all show stuff does little for me especially if it isn't a car that is a pleasure to drive, but one mans likes is another's dislike so. But I admire the effort and energy. We have several thousand members in our local C&C a few friends of mine started. When we hit 100 members we thought it was getting large. Now we have anything you can imagine although we find the flashy built cars are more likely to end up terrorizing the neighborhood and have to be seen and show off acting somewhat childish. There is no tolerance for that period.
I always try to be an ambassador to the club as part of the local region Board and try to strike up conversations with everyone no matter if it is a car I like or not. If you own it you are proud of it otherwise you wouldn't be there so make everyone welcome. Try to find the good in everything or keep my mouth shut. I save the negative comments for the forums LOL. We have people show up in all sorts of stuff from Stanley steamers to 8k mile Yugo's to Maserati Birdcage and multi million dollar cars. I still find anything and everything interesting whether it is my taste or not. The talent exhibited here is huge but most of it I find little interest in. My friend Jeff got a lot of appreciation for his 356 outlaw from the younger crowd. So there is a link there someplace and maybe the old can learn from the new and vice versa.
