To me this isn't old vs young. Wasting money on stupid **** is not a good idea at any age. I wouldn't care either way if these kids were independently wealthy or had access to the bank of mom and dad for the $35K chrome job. But let's face it this money is most likely borrowed by people who don't make much money.
Not only is it stupid financially, it's tacky and trashy too.
