Bushmills Irish Whiskey is good (they make a "Black" Bush that is very good too).

Jameson's is relatively inexpensive and decent.

Have been trying a lot of Japanese whiskeys lately. A couple from the Suntory brand - Hibiki, Toki - and one from Nikka called Coffey Grain whiskey. They are all very tasty.

If you want to try a good rye whiskey, try Bulleit.

And I know it's technically Bourbon, but I'm a big fan of Maker's Mark.
