Ansel Adams spoke of the "green flash" in one of his last interviews... pretty rare and you have to be in the perfect place (higher than sea level typically and clear conditions) to see it.
So far, I've failed to see or capture it.

Took a multi day trip down the Oregon coast last week... fantastic weather and got to explore some new to me sections of it starting with the very Northwest corner of the state where Ft. Stevens sits (in use from 1863-1947... I was surprised it started out in the Civil war era!), the wreck of the Peter Iredale and where the mighty Columbia meets the Pacific ocean.

113 year old 4 masted steel barque sailing vessel. She was trying to make it into the mouth of the Columbia, but was run aground by a NW squall.
