Twice in the past couple days I noticed my 2 year old mini schnauzer’s neck very hot compared to the rest of his body. Both times it went away after a few minutes. I’ve had a lot of dogs but never seen anything like this.

His only other symptoms have been that for about a week he has been trying to scratch himself with his back legs in no particular location....he does it on his own or if I touch his back all day long

Checked him for fleas and ticks and see none

I’ll have to call vet today but I’m wondering if anyone has seen this
