My F-I-L works at a Toyota dealership, but the owner of the dealership also owns a Cadillac/GMC dealership. They have brand-new Cadillacs on the lot now that are 2017 models.

That’s interesting and explains how we found a used 2014 Dodge Charger police pursuit model with 26 miles at a dealership in late 2015. Technically the dealership cannot sell the police cars to anyone other than LEO or .gov, but since it was “used” we were able to purchase it. Killer deal too.
