Sounds about right.
I am a little concerned that the Indy who jumped the switch (as discussed in the link you sent) and the top opened and closed several times. He used a screw driver to jump something (I could see what exactly but it was behind the back seat speak cover he took off) and used the open and close switch on panel. Doing this several times he opened and closed the top and everything worked as it should.
My appointment is on the 25th of October (his first available). He said likely a micro switch.
If more than a few hundred I am thinking of sourcing the manual parts and putting this repair money toward a permanent solution.
