I fished out of my buddy's 14' aluminum john boat all over the lower St. John's and a dozen lakes in yer backyard for a mebbe 15 years....he launched it solo...a LOT....just a perfect boat for fishing...jmho.
We ALL wish we had that boat even now....was talked about yesterday...we wuz playing with Spanish Mackeral out of Morehead City on a bigger boat though
