My parents would go to a mall that had a restaurant-bar that overlooked the main mall area. Dad could go to the bar, have a drink, and watch the people down below. Mom would shop, and come get him when she was done.

I go to the mall only to buy new jeans. I know where to park for a "good safe end spot" close to a side door, and walk right to the men's section, try on three pair and if that really are all the same size and they fit, I buy them all, and go. Back in 5 or 6 years when those look like the jeans most kids buy now, all ripped up and worn out. I don't buy pre-worn out jeans.

If we go grocery store shopping, I go so I can get the stuff I like, otherwise she just gets her stuff.

I have not been clothes shopping with her in close to 20 years. I order my shorts that I wear from spring to fall on line. I have plenty of shirts already.

Just today we had to go to Lowe's for a bag of water softer salt. The web site said it was on aisle 48, so we went right to it, got is and checked out in minutes. We were there at 8:30 AM.
