Still understand the fastest r/c planes are gliders despite the development of r/c jet engines.

I had a flying wing. It was a kit called a Voodoo. I modified it from the get go, Move the engine way back near the leading edge, and put a box that I built out of fiberglass. Instead of the surgical tube, I used a baby's pacifier. No I did not steal it from a baby. I would go to the drug store and buy 10 or so pacifiers at a time. All I needed was the rubber bulb the baby chewed on. The rest was trash. Those would inflate and squirt the fuel 15 feet if the end came off. One pacifier was about 3 minutes. It would do just over 110 and on a 80 foot line than was spinning around dang fast. I had to stand in one spot and do the stunt flying and it was so dang fast it was a real challenge.
