Years ago my dad had his cataracts looked after one at a time.
I don't think that the years of welding did them much good.
After getting the first one done, he was instructed to leave the eye covered for a period of time and then to take the covering off in a darkened room to allow it to adjust to the light again.
He was so unbelievably happy to be able to see well again.
One thing that was upsetting to him was the dramatic difference in the way he saw anything that was white in colour. The repaired eye white was bright and clean and the other white appeared a dull yellow colour.
