In all fairness I agree with you Steve. If someone is being a good sport about something that happened, laughing at themselves if you will, I see no harm in it. The organized meanness or repetition of something that's painful or intended to demean and bully tracks right along with an overall decrease of civility. When we stop seeing each other as beings, we're giving in to the call of a lower form of humor that's easy and doesn't require thought. Which is the apex of a slippery slope.
