Maybe not Japanese per se, but it has most certainly traded in a good portion of its Germanicness for
genericness found in nearly all new cars today. The globalism of design is a major factor; even if the designers are still German, the internet has caused everyone to be inspired by the same images. Incredibly prevalent in my field (architecture) as well.
