Some .gifs can be maybe 100MB max...versus maybe 10MB max for .jpgs.
Just my generalized experience. Some pages take ages to load. Every bit counts. Such as that 16MB yogi bear gif.
Some people here in the USA have expensive and crappy ISPs...which can't be fixed easily.
But I'm not the internet police, my friend.
