Gees i just saw him at the last Stoddard swap meet puttering around in his little motorized scooter. Many had no idea what an icon he was, puttering along in his little scooter stopping occasionally to talk to a vendor. I was way too intimidated to go up and say hello, but at that time wondered how many more times i would see him.
The swap meets over in Willoughby were awesome. I remember they had dyno out back , you could tour the restoration shop, everyone was so proud to work there and show what they were doing. One of the mechanics told me the process of removing broken exhaust studs and give me the confidence to do it. In fact that's where i bought my 4 7" Fuchs for 500 bucks.
was a while ago but very fond memories
