Good Evening Gents,

Greetings 908,

What a tale! You seem to run in rough company! ;-)

I guess you do spot things when your that familiar with a car. As for BMW rust, I know it well. My 1973 2002 seemed to disintegrate as I drove it! Great car though!

What did you think of the Charlotte car? Is it an example of the typical e28 one might find?

Hi Pavulon & Java,

Boy you guys are tough! :-)

I was attempting to be amusing in describing where I live! In actual fact, when the snow comes down and the roads get slushy, I drive my truck.

Still, I do live on a salt marsh not far from the ocean, so even a car in my garage gets exposed to a salt atmosphere. I use POR15 or paint on my tools and machinery just to keep them from turning into lumps of rust. Corrosion is a price you pay, living in a coastal area.

I didn’t know Audi had an aluminum car, that’s pretty neat!

Hey Asphalt,

I think that 635 would be a great car for you! But I'm looking for more of a 'fuddy duddy' sedan!

I’m keeping an eye on Craigslist and MyE28com, but I haven’t seen anything new pop up, other than the car in Charlotte that 908 mentioned.
