Hi everyone. I have a 965 on the lift and need to access the clutch. Normally I donīt work on those "newer" 911...
So I looked at everything and was wondering if itīs possible to take the transmission out without the engine. There is way more space in front of the gearbox than with the g bodys.
Here is what I would try:
I would loosen the nuts that holds the engine a little, take out the driveshafts, support the engine take off the gearbox support screws and start lowering the gearboxside till it clears the body and then take it off...
The way I would avoid taking the turbo engine off and safe a ton of time.

Did anybody tried this? Any thoughts about it?
