HA! It can be. I think a goalie can and should be called for diving when they go down after being breathed on but there are certainly legit calls, remember Sean Avery?
It used to be that the paint was inviolate, but guys are in there all of the time now, even when the shot is taken, is that interference?
If somebody screened me by standing in front of me, a quick kick on their heel usually put them on their butt and I NEVER got called for it.
With the new floppy style of keeping it's harder to get an interference call unless they're laying on top of you.
edit: oh and as for fighting, this new style of dancing around is just that. If somebody fouled me there was no dance, my guys just jumped on the perp and pummeled him into the ice.
