We inherited this. The bores were good but had some surface rust. The kids decided to refinish it.
Daughter did the "color" here as seen before the wood and barrel were done. The case hardening wasn't removed so it is there underneath the cosmetics. Then cleaned up the wood in the second pic. The wood was just cleaned up and re-oiled.
Boy cleaned the rust and re-blued the barrel and trigger guard. The extension on the stock was there when we received it.
