There has been talk for years now that Porsche was toying with the idea of coming out with a modern version of the 928 . Anyone think there is a chance of them coming out with a modern version of the 944/968 ? Keep it as light as you can , put a turbo Boxer four in it with a traditional transmission bolted to the bellhousing vs. that stupid torque tube
it could be a winner . Design as a entry level vehicle with a reasonable retail price , I'm sure there can be some platform/parts sharing to help with costs .
Or maybe ditch the turbo to keep price down and just have naturally aspirated ? With today's technology a 300 hp four is easy to achieve , can get good/great fuel mileage and perform very well in a balanced chassis . What do you think ?
