Or maybe ditch the turbo to keep price down and just have naturally aspirated ? With today's technology a 300 hp four is easy to achieve , can get good/great fuel mileage and perform very well in a balanced chassis . What do you think ?

Panamera seems like it's the "modern 928". I'm not sure they need a Panamera and another front engined cruiser.
944/968 with a turbo flat four? I'm not sure that's different enough from the boxster/cayman to make it worthwhile for them.
