some very expensive houses (closer to beach), terrible traffic in summer, best restaurants on the md/de coast, cheap real estate taxes (dirt cheap), lots of no kids dc types including many gays. you don't have to be gay to live there though. there is some 'in your face' stuff but it's not terrible.
Lewes also worth looking into. Many retirement communities in the area where you get a clubhouse, tennis courts, pool, etc. Lots of NY and NJ folks retire to the area enjoying the ultra low real estate taxes. Grocery option is Harris Teeter. Two stores not too far from Rehoboth. Go Brit is a legit good fish and chips place right on Rt 1. Dogfish has a restaurant right near the boardwalk in Rehoboth proper.
Be very careful about moving to a md or de resort town if your wife is used to cultured type stuff. Rehoboth/Lewes have some semblence of culture but the surrounding areas are utterly void of it. it's a nice little beach town but mid winter it is an entirely different place. The Rt 1 area then is desolate and sad. i've lived just south of there in Md for almost 35 years.

Well i had #6 adjusted perfectly but then just before i tightened it a butterfly in Zimbabwe farted and now i have to start all over again!
