Concur. There is a whole homeschooling network you may want to explore before you guys make a choice.
I know a number of families that homeschooled and their kids are some of the best young adults I know. Most got their kids to HS then got them into public or private schools.
Take your time with an open mind. The stereotypes are, well, stereotypes.
