The second picture is interesting. I guess what we're seeing standing up above the deck of the boat are hatch covers that are hinged in the middle? Kind of like the shutters in this photo, but maybe a little bit bigger and a tiny bit heavier?


Can you tell us whatever happened to the door that got dropped into the hold of a ship that you posted a couple of photos and a little info about a couple of years ago?

And while you're at it, you could throw in a couple of interesting stories. Surely, you've got a slew of whacky stories whether related to characters, cargo, incidents or weather or some combination of the above.
