I am simply looking at it from an "old(er) school" perspective at the moment. Acrylic enamel is not forgiving to the advanced novice, assuming I could even source it.
We got a little time to mull it over.

This was a fire station truck until 1999. A whopping total of 16k miles. Must have sat outside.
