I think it would depend on where you were driving and what car. I had a ‘48 Chrysler - not much different from the pre-war cars - for a while that rode like you were on a cloud. It was great to take out on a summer evening and cruise around. I can’t see myself driving it daily. It was slow, with weak lights and terrible windshield wipers.
My ‘47 Dodge truck is cramped, rides like a truck, and has the same lights and wipers problems. I still like taking it for a drive on a nice day.
