Love living here on the side of the mountain, with our stunning views.
Having a driveway that mimics the Pike's Peak hill climb, pre-asphalt, is a hoot.

Not long ago, heard a series of barks followed by a high-pitched, relatively short howl.
Stepped out on the deck, and a lone coyote was going down the road, out in the open.
Bark-bark-howl, then move about 100 feet. Bark-bark-howl, then another 100 feet or so before another identical series.
Interesting behavior, fun to watch.
When Wile E. got to the switchback below the deck, I clapped once. Startled the snot out of him, and he ran off, staying out on the road vs. diving into the forest.

When in gig Harbor, sometimes the deer would come out and invade the human's area.
It's obvious that my house in in their territory. We enjoy living amongst the critters.
