I think that started in the mid 70s with all of the emissions additions. There's really very little from the 80s that would be something that I'd want to drive.

No 454 in the 80s. i think the last 454 Chevy car was probably 1975 or 76.

Hell, in 1981, I think, there was a California only version of the corvette with a 305 and 180hp, IIRC.
